Sensorial Encounters

This collection of thesis projects explores how design can enrich human experience through material innovation and sensory engagement. Focusing on sound, smell, touch, and other forms of sensorial ephemera, the work investigates how products can evoke emotion, memory, immersion, and connection. Through experimentation with emerging materials, interactive systems, and multisensory experiences, these projects challenge conventional notions of functionality and perception. Each thesis considers the subtle yet powerful ways sensory stimuli shape our understanding of the world and our interactions within it. Together, the projects demonstrate how product design can create more meaningful, expressive, and emotionally resonant experiences through the senses.
