This project explores an automated underground farming system that transforms underutilized urban infrastructure, such as abandoned subway tunnels, into productive agricultural spaces. It combines controlled environment agriculture (CEA) with a rail-based robotic system that detects, harvests, and replaces crop modules efficiently. The design emphasizes modular planting units, spatial efficiency, and a sealed environment for optimized growth conditions.
