Brooklyn Burrows

A Place for Stray Cats on New York’s Streets

For caretakers and rescue organizations in NYC who care for stray cat colonies across the city, the Brooklyn Burrow is a reimagined shelter that provides warmth and safety for cats, while also doubling as a street planter that enriches the streetscape for all residents. Unlike the plastic bin shelters currently used by most caretakers, it can be placed in a variety of sites, including private yards, shops, and public spaces, blending seamlessly into the urban environment.
