APPARATUS
Costumes for Audience
For contemporary performance audiences, Apparatus is a wearable costume system that transforms passive spectators into active participants by reframing the body as both stage and site of performance. Unlike traditional costumes designed solely for the performer, this product empowers the audience to co-author the event through embodied interaction, spatial engagement, and collective activation. Apparatus uniquely positions costume as a tool for the audience, dissolving the boundary between observer and performer and mediating new forms of theatrical experience—before, during, and as the performance itself.
